Update (Oct. 2nd 2013): papers accepted to
TACL are now eligible for presentation at NAACL 2013 in addition to ACL 2013.
Transactions of the Association for Computational Linguistics
(TACL) is an ACL-sponsored journal that publishes papers in all areas of computational linguistics and natural language processing. TACL has the following features:
- TACL publishes conference-length papers, but has a journal-style reviewing process (for example, the option for an action editor to recommend the “revise and resubmit” category for a paper).
- Papers appearing at TACL are eligible for a presentation at the ACL or NAACL main conferences. Thus the model combines the benefits of a journal, with the benefits of being able to present the work at a major conference. (Presentation is optional; authors do not have to present their papers at the conference. Authors can choose whether to present at ACL or NAACL.)
- TACL accepts submissions all year around (the 1st day of each month is a submission deadline).
- TACL is committed to fast turnaround reviewing.
The next submission deadline for TACL is the 1st of next month (there are submission deadlines
of May 1st 2012, June 1st 2012, July 1st 2012, August 1st 2012, and so on).
See the submission information for more details.
